It runs on flat whites.
Sterling Almanac is free, ad-free, and running dangerously low on good coffee. Two taps and about thirty seconds fixes that.
Two taps, ~30 seconds - a one-off tip on Ko-fi. No account, no subscription, no newsletter.
Where tips go: coffee, servers, staying independent
Free, ad-free, and yours. No account, no cross-site tracking, nothing to sell you. Have a look around first - there's no obligation.
Every figure was worked out on your device and has never left it. We couldn't bill you if we tried.
The coffee accounts
The numbers, presented with the rigour of a full set of accounts and the discipline of someone who checks his server bill too often.
Where every coffee goes
A tip unlocks nothing - there's nothing to unlock. It just buys the next reader the same free page you got. Running it isn't free - a domain, the hosting, and the API that writes the explainers all want paying.
There is no line item for ads, cross-site trackers, affiliate deals or a growth team - because there is no ad, no cross-site tracker, no affiliate deal and no growth team. There's just me, and a kettle.
The serious bit
- This is not a security. There is no equity, no dividend, and no upside beyond my continued caffeination and your growing financial literacy.
- Forward-looking statements: this page contains exactly one - that I intend to keep writing. Everything else on this site is information, never advice.
- The only thing we pump here is your financial literacy. It, unlike most things, only goes up.
- Diamond hands are encouraged - on your reading list.
- The Lambo remains, as it has since inception, entirely hypothetical.
- Key-person risk: the founder may, without notice, touch grass.
Whatever you decide, the Almanac stays free. Tips fund better coffee, not better access.
That's the whole ask
The tip jar's by the door - no account, no commitment, no newsletter to unsubscribe from at a later date of your choosing. Just a coffee, over on Ko-fi, if the Almanac has ever saved you a confused Google at 11pm.
And if not, genuinely, no drama. Reading the site is more than enough.
The jar's right here —
Still not saving for a Lambo. Realistically: the server bill, and a genuinely concerning amount of coffee.
